Witches are the most powerful beings in Hexium- known to be the pinnacle of their specific field of magic! In Hexium, you aren't just a 'witch.' You are The Witch of something, and no one else can hold that title. For example, you've got the almighty Mountain Witch and even more niche fields such as the Anemone Witch. These titles are bestowed upon individuals by overseeing spirits of Hexium, and if you receive that title, you will find a special witch hat and a note to congratulate you.

1. THE KNOWLEDGE WITCH
The Knowledge Witch is a very special and powerful title that allows its holder to manipulate an individual's knowledge. Idha Jain is the first person in history to ever be trusted to wield it! Born to a family of nomads, Idha Jain embodied a deep love for learning as she travelled from a very young age. Time and time again, she's proven to use her vast array of knowledge for good and wholesome reasons- whether that be teaching her pet red panda how to talk or helping villagers improve their farming techniques. Once Idha became an adult, she was entrusted by the spirits to become the first ever Knowledge Witch and has since used it for the betterment of Hexium (and the occasional silly experiment.)

2. THE MOUNTAIN WITCH
The lineage of the Mountain Witch has always been connected to Hexium's most impressive peaks, the Gelida Mountains. Deep in the heart of these mountains lies Hexium's oldest civilization, the Golden City of Iugosus. The people of Iugosus have worshipped whoever held the Mountain Witch title since the beginning of time, and its current holder might just be the most eccentric of them all. After a century of no one receiving this title, a teenage Aureli Nieves risked their life to rescue a family from an oncoming avalanche, and they were entrusted to become the next Mountain Witch. Given age old tradition, Aureli was pressured to become the youngest ever chief of Iugosus. Although not originally wanting this title, there's no doubt Aureli has become an excellent leader. While she is much beloved by the people, they still find her a bit strange as Aureli is quite socially avoidant and disappears into nature for sometimes days at a time.

3. THE BLOOD WITCH
The Blood Witch's story is quite a unique case. Originally born as a mosquito, Honey Globin transformed into a human after sucking the blood of a forest nymph with magical transformative abilities. Honey Globin is known in her community to be a bit of a trouble-maker, as her mosquito-based mindset slowly evolves into thinking more human. Despite this, she is a bubbly character with a good heart- sometimes she just can't discern right from wrong. Nowadays, she parades around Hexium's Wandering Forest, adventuring the frontier alongside her friends in a magical conestoga wagon!

4. THE ANEMONE WITCH
Meet the Anemone Witch! Life on shore never really satisfied Cora Maren. She found herself at her happiest when she was exploring the sea and longed to find a way to stay there permanently. So, a young Cora Maren began teaching herself magic— learning spells that would let her survive underwater! After much practice, she found a way to give herself flippers, webbed hands, and gills, and now only returns to shore on a very rare basis. Cora spends her time tending to the reefs of Hexium and it’s creatures— earning the title of the Anemone Witch. This witch is known for her deep connection to the sea, and although timid, she will always fight for what's right.

5. THE LAVA WITCH
Calidi Keahi was born to the Lava Tribe- a small civilization located on the island of Mount Igmasi, a large volcano with the power to bring wide-scale destruction to Hexium. It is the birthright responsibility of the Lava Witch to manage this volcano and prevent it from erupting, and unlike most witches, Calidi received this title upon being born. Forced into a strict, training regiment since birth, Calidi inevitably grew up to be a rebellious child. Calidi believes in fulfilling her duties of the Lava Witch in her own way and will never stop being her authentic self.
